Across Disciplines. International. In Lower Saxony.

The Hannah Arendt Fellowships offer outstanding international scholars working in the Humanities, Cultural Studies, and Social Sciences the opportunity to spend up to six months in Lower Saxony, Germany, pursuing independent research on annually changing themes. Fellows collaborate closely with local academic partners at universities and research institutions across the region, enjoying full academic freedom in a vibrant, interdisciplinary environment. The programme supports historical, theoretical, empirical, and comparative approaches, and fosters new perspectives and exchange through joint internal colloquia, workshops and conferences, and public events.
