Together for tomorrow: with 13,000 students, Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences is the largest and most research-intensive university in Lower Saxony, with broad networks in business, society and the scientific community. Our strength in research and transfer is one of our outstanding features in terms of scope, breadth and quality. We focus on transformation-relevant topics and make an important contribution to a positive future for our society.

As visionary and responsible initiators, our researchers work on application-oriented solutions to current and future challenges. In our research field Health, Society, and Economy, researchers from the social sciences, political science, law, economics, health informatics, data science, psychology, nursing, midwifery, therapy, and nutrition work across disciplinary boundaries to find forward-looking, socially relevant solutions.

Our campuses offer a charming mix of old and modern architecture: while the Lingen campus is located in a former railway repair plant, the Osnabrück campuses blend light-coloured brick façades of former barracks and modern buildings and facilities, such as our cafeteria, lecture halls, library, and the innovative Caprivi Lounge (CaLo) – a place to relax and meet people.

At our Welcome Center, international researchers receive support and advice on all organisational matters related to their prospective stay in Germany, and benefit from the close cooperation with various institutions of Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and external partners. Furthermore, the university supports the reconciliation of family and working life and places great importance on diversity and gender equality.
