With its claim “Better for you” Jade University of Applied Sciences, with its three campuses in Wilhelmshaven, Oldenburg, and Elsfleth, sees itself as having a responsibility for the development of the region in which it is deeply rooted.
Jade University of Applied Sciences was founded in 2009. Approximately 6,400 students are currently enrolled in more than 60 degree programmes across the three campuses. Approximately 200 professors teach and conduct research at Jade University. At Jade University, teaching and research are characterised by innovative approaches, collaborative partnerships, and a student-centred mindset. In all areas, the university promotes competence and diversity in line with its mission statement. For years, it has consistently ranked highly due to its practical focus, close ties to industry, and degrees earned within a reasonable timeframe.
Jade University’s research activities are also characterised by a strong practical focus and are often conducted in cooperation with companies, associations, and other institutions. Research priorities include artificial intelligence, innovative energy technology, health technology, maritime technology and coastal economy, as well as digital construction and information technology.
